Share Your Story: Day 4 - Jamie Logan

How long have you attended Faith Christian Church?

25 years

In a few sentences share how you became a Christian.

I grew up attending a traditional church once in a while and really got to a point that I just didn't want to go anymore. My brother, Richie, gave his life to Jesus and was pretty excited about it and shared with me several times. I knew I needed to make changes in my life but I didn't think church is what I needed. Richie hired me to roof a house and had Pastor Paul help me. I wasn't really excited about it because I thought to myself "How can I work next to a pastor for a whole week?" During that week Pastor Paul probably thought there was no hope for this guy. His non-judgemental personality and his love for Jesus spoke to my heart. I seriously new that I wanted what he had. That was around 1992 that I gave my cruddy life to Jesus. Since then in 1993 I married Nikki and we have four kids all committed to Jesus and faithfully serving at church and in life.

In what ways has Faith Christian Church brought value to your life?

We always thought of church as our family. Church to us isn't just a function or a place to go every week to do our duty. I have always looked at it like a weekly family reunion. Faith Christian Church has been like a sanctuary to get together with believers and just focus on God.

What do you enjoy most about coming to church?

I enjoy the positive energy. I long for the preaching and, of course, worshipping the King of Kings with my eternal family.

What are you most excited for as we look ahead to what God is doing in our communities?

I'm looking forward to the new friendships and life-changing experiences for the new believers and just watching what God is going to do in their lives.

What is your favorite Bible verse and why?

I have many but Matthew 5:11,12 sticks out.
"Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad because great is your reward in heaven for the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you."
